When Fritzy lifted up his hospital gown to take a
peek, he was reminded somehow of a scene in director
Lina Wertmuller's harrowing "Seven Beauties," which
follows a small-time Casanova through the horrors of
World War II battle and imprisonment in a
concentration camp. Fritzy seems to identify with
Giancarlo Giannini, who portrayed a small-time Mafioso
in Wertmuller's 1976 tale of sex and survival. (1
